We are a private faith based, non-profit agency which exists to provide care, love, and healing to children who have no one else to advocate for them. This mission is mandated by the Word of God in James 1:27 "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress..." NLT
The Church of God Home for Children has been faithfully committed to Child Care Ministry in the state of South Carolina for 60 years. In June, 1969, the Home moved to its present location on Highway 417 in Mauldin, South Carolina, which consists of a 25-acre campus.
We can accommodate up to 30 children in our care in one of our three group homes.
The HFC is fully licensed by the South Carolina Department of Social Services, and the Home adheres to all interstate placement regulations. We also accept private placements. No child is denied our care and services based on race, religion, ethnic origin, or inability to pay for the services.
